## Data and limits
- [Data sources and limitations](https://admit-coach.com/data-sources): IPEDS and College Scorecard historical institutional records; coverage and reporting years vary by field and school. Other imported fields may come from separately identified sources.
- [Admission shortlist methodology](https://admit-coach.com/how-admission-chances-work): heuristic screening, not validated personal admission probabilities. A safety label does not guarantee admission or affordability.
- Net price is a historical cohort average, not a student's aid offer. Public-college averages may not apply to out-of-state or international students. Missing values are unknown, not zero.
- Confirm current deadlines, testing policies, accreditation and costs with each college. A page update date is not a dataset reporting year.
- Public data access never includes student accounts, essays, documents or saved plans. School-specific source links should accompany summaries.
