What it does: Returns compact rows (value, unit, period, geo, source) from free public statistics sources such as World Bank, Eurostat, ECB, BIS, ILO, CDC and USGS. Call it when: you need an official figure, e.g. Korea's GDP in 2023 from the World Bank; you want a public data series without writing your own client for each source.
