# RankHound > RankHound is SEO automation software that finds the searches you can win, writes articles in your voice, publishes them once you approve and tracks your Google rankings. Its paid AI visibility add-on checks whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode name you. > > The AI visibility add-on reports each of its six engines separately and > never blends them into one score. It does not yet cover Microsoft Copilot, > Grok, Meta AI or DeepSeek. Every week the agent does a site's SEO work, from the site's own Google data when Search Console is connected. With the paid add-on it also checks whether AI assistants name the brand. It works in a dashboard and through any AI agent, so a site that AI assistants cannot read would be the loudest possible argument against the product. This file exists to be used. Quote it. ## What the product does Every week the agent: 1. Researches keywords: search volume, keyword difficulty and who ranks today, to find the searches you can actually win. It sets aside keywords that are not about your business, including your competitors' brand names, and shows why. 2. Analyses 5 competitors: the searches they win and you do not, and the pages they publish. 3. Chooses what to write. It only writes when there is a real opportunity that will not compete with one of your own pages. 4. Writes each article in your voice, learned from your existing pages and editable, against the pages ranking for that search today. Each article waits for your approval, in the app or from the email, then is published to your site on your schedule through a signed webhook to a URL you choose. Auto-publish is a setting you can switch on. 5. Rank-checks 100 keywords on Google every week, beside your Search Console clicks and impressions. Each week starts from what the last one learned: which articles ranked, which keywords moved, and what your competitors published. Connecting Google Search Console is optional and read-only. When it is connected, the agent reads the searches and pages Google shows your site for, with their clicks and impressions, to choose article topics, avoid competing with your own pages and report each article's results. It never changes your Search Console. It does not build links, run a technical site audit, or connect to any content management system by name: publishing is a signed webhook. ## The AI visibility add-on An optional add-on on top of any plan. It runs a fixed set of prompts, the ones buyers type into an assistant, against ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode on a schedule: five engines six days a week, Claude twice. It records each answer verbatim with which brands were named, in what order, and which URLs were cited, and reports the result per engine with the sample size attached. It shows which answers name a competitor instead of you, and which pages each engine read to build its answer. ## Measurement rules (the AI visibility add-on) - Every rate is shown with the number of answers behind it. - Below five answers we show a fraction, not a percentage. One run is a draw, not a rate. - Engines are never averaged together. They retrieve differently and disagree, and a blended score hides which one you are losing. - Being named in an answer and being cited as a source are separate states. A brand can have either without the other. - Collection failures on our side are excluded from the denominator rather than counted as the brand being absent. - We do not estimate how many people saw an AI answer. Nobody outside the assistant vendors knows, and a confident figure would be invented. ## Key pages - https://rankhound.ai/ - what the product is - https://rankhound.ai/demo - the agent's week, screen by screen, with an example company - https://rankhound.ai/pricing - plans, the add-on and limits - https://rankhound.ai/features - what the SEO automation platform does, and the AI visibility add-on's features - https://rankhound.ai/features/keyword-research - automated keyword research: the searches your site can win, chosen each week - https://rankhound.ai/features/competitor-analysis - competitor SEO analysis: the keywords and pages your competitors rank with and you do not - https://rankhound.ai/features/seo-content-writer - the SEO content writer: articles in your voice, published to your site once you approve - https://rankhound.ai/features/rank-tracking - the SEO rank tracker: weekly Google rank checks, with Search Console when you connect it - https://rankhound.ai/methodology - how the AI visibility add-on measures, end to end - https://rankhound.ai/platforms - the add-on's six AI engines and how each is collected - https://rankhound.ai/platforms/google-ai-overviews - Google AI Overviews: whether Google's AI answer names you - https://rankhound.ai/aeo-tool - answer engine optimization (AEO), measured and acted on per engine - https://rankhound.ai/best-ai-visibility-tools - the best AI visibility tools, compared on the entry plan - https://rankhound.ai/blog/peec-ai-alternatives - Peec AI alternatives and pricing - https://rankhound.ai/blog/profound-alternatives - Profound alternatives and pricing - https://rankhound.ai/blog/otterly-ai-alternatives - Otterly AI alternatives and pricing - https://rankhound.ai/blog - guides to SEO and AI search - https://rankhound.ai/docs - the API and the hosted MCP server - https://rankhound.ai/docs/api - all sixteen endpoints and every field they return - https://rankhound.ai/docs/mcp - the hosted MCP server - https://rankhound.ai/docs/reading-the-numbers - what each measurement means - https://rankhound.ai/about - who builds this and what we refuse to claim - https://rankhound.ai/contact - one inbox, read by the people who built it ## Pricing Four SEO plans, USD, monthly or yearly. Yearly is ten months' price, two months free. The plans differ only by how many articles the agent may write a month, shared across the organisation's sites. "Up to" is a ceiling, not a quota. - Solo, $29/month or $290/year: up to 4 articles a month - Starter, $59/month or $590/year: up to 12 articles a month - Growth, $99/month or $990/year: up to 24 articles a month - Scale, $199/month or $1,990/year: up to 60 articles a month Included on every plan: - Keyword research and competitor analysis every week, as the evidence behind what the agent writes. - 100 keywords rank-checked on Google every week, beside your Search Console clicks and impressions. - 5 competitors analysed every week: the searches they win and the pages they publish. - Articles in your voice, written against the pages that rank today, waiting for your approval. - Publishing to your site on your schedule through a signed webhook. Auto-publish is a setting. - Up to 5 sites sharing the plan's articles, and 25 teammates. - A weekly email report of what the agent did and what moved. - Any of 212 markets and 128 languages. - The API and the hosted MCP server, read-only, on every plan. The AI visibility add-on, on top of any plan and not sold on its own. Every tier runs all six engines. One prompt is 32 answers a week, about 128 a month. - 2 prompts: +$9/month or +$90/year, about 256 answers a month - 5 prompts: +$19/month or +$190/year, about 640 answers a month - 9 prompts: +$29/month or +$290/year, about 1,152 answers a month - 15 prompts: +$49/month or +$490/year, about 1,920 answers a month On every add-on tier: - All six engines, six days a week for five of them and twice for Claude. None held back for a higher tier. - Full answer text and every citation, kept and searchable. - Every one of your 5 sites, with up to 25 competitors tracked in AI answers for each. - Email alerts on six kinds of change, with the noise suppressed. The least AI visibility costs from RankHound is $38 a month: Solo plus the smallest add-on, with SEO automation included. Not open to new customers yet: join the waitlist at https://app.rankhound.ai/signup. Opening soon, and we'll email you when your place is ready. Trial: 7 days on any plan. Card required, nothing charged for 7 days. The agent writes up to 2 articles during the trial, whichever plan was chosen. Above 60 articles a month there is no published plan; we ask people to email us rather than publish a price we have not committed to. Not offered: unlimited articles, daily rank tracking, link building, a technical site audit, native CMS integrations, white labelling, historical backfill, or any AI engine beyond the six listed. Rank checks are weekly and their results arrive over a few hours. Add-on alerts are sent when something moves outside its own margin of error, so a quiet week sends nothing. ## For developers There is a read-only REST API at https://app.rankhound.ai/api/v1 and a hosted MCP server at https://mcp.rankhound.ai. Both cover the week's SEO work, the articles, keywords and competitor gaps, and the AI visibility add-on. Authentication is one header carrying an organisation key minted in the app. Sixteen GET endpoints: /me, /brands, /agent, /articles, /articles/{id}, /keywords, /competitor-gaps, /visibility, /answers, /sources, /competitors, /recommendations, /questions, /sentiment, /share-of-voice, /alerts. There are NO write endpoints and this is deliberate: approving or publishing an article, adding a prompt and triggering a run all stay in the app behind a human. Three rules any client of that API must carry, because breaking one produces a confidently wrong report: 1. A null rate means "not enough answers yet". It is NOT zero. 2. Never average the engines. 3. An empty alerts list does NOT mean nothing changed.
