  - Tool: draft_invoice. It prices the invoice (subtotal, discount, tax, shipping, total) and returns builderUrl, a link that opens the invoice filled in, ready to review and download as a PDF.

  - `POST /api/v1/drafts` (no key): totals + the prefilled builder link

## Things to know

- Nothing is stored or emailed. The invoice lives in the link until the user downloads it.
- Give the user builderUrl; they can add their business details, a due date and notes there.

## Direct agent workflows
- `list_invoice_templates`: discover five consulting and contractor examples.
- `prepare_invoice_template`: pass templateId and optional from, billTo, number, issueDate and dueDate; returns editable invoice JSON, totals and builderUrl.
- `render_invoice_pdf`: pass a complete InvoiceInput including number, from.name, billTo.name, issueDate and dueDate. Returns an embedded application/pdf resource with base64 blob. Save the decoded resource as invoice.pdf; do not claim it was emailed or paid.
- REST: GET /api/v1/templates, POST /api/v1/template-drafts and POST /api/v1/pdf. The PDF endpoint returns binary application/pdf with Cache-Control: no-store.
- Direct PDF limits: Western European text (Windows-1252), no logos, no payment ledger. Unsupported text is rejected. Use the browser builder for other writing systems or logos. Do not invent missing names or dates.
- Inputs are processed by Alder but these tools do not persist invoices or send emails. Builder links contain invoice details and should be treated as private. AI client logs are governed by that provider.
