# AlphaBridge MCP

> AlphaBridge MCP is a WordPress MCP server plugin for Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants.

- Page builders (as of 2 October 2026): the free plugin reads a page as an outline (wp_get_builder_layout)
  and changes the text, link or image of one element (wp_update_builder_element). It previews by default,
  keeps an undo point and reads the page back. Read and written: WordPress blocks, Elementor, Beaver Builder, SiteOrigin Page Builder, SeedProd (texts
  and links), GenerateBlocks, Kadence Blocks, Spectra, Stackable, Pagelayer, WPBakery, Divi 4, Avada, Flatsome
  and Enfold. Measured end to end on WordPress test installs: WordPress blocks, Elementor, Beaver Builder,
  SiteOrigin Page Builder and SeedProd. Not yet measured on a live install: GenerateBlocks, Kadence Blocks,
  Spectra, Stackable and Pagelayer, and WPBakery, Divi 4, Avada, Flatsome and Enfold, the last five built from

- Search and replace (free): wp_search_replace replaces text across posts, postmeta, options and terms, safe for
  serialized and JSON data, with a dry run per table first. On page-builder pages (scope text) it changes only what
  the builder's writer may change and counts matches in locked places (locked_matches); scope raw replaces the
  stored data as text. post_ids keeps a run to the posts it names, expected_count writes only while the dry run
  still fits, and protected options stay out of every replace.
- Undo (every edition): wp_update_post, wp_bulk_update_status, wp_update_site_settings, wp_update_builder_element
  and wp_search_replace (page-builder pages and option rows) leave an undo point; wp_undo_list, wp_undo (with a
  dry run) and wp_undo_discard work on the account's own points. Undo points expire after 7 days; the newest 50
  and at most 100 MB are kept. Pro adds undo points for theme and plugin files, PHP snippets, options written with
  wp_update_option and theme switches, and lets the administrator set 1 to 30 days.
  A page-builder change goes back byte for byte. A page someone changed since is refused unless forced.
  Custom fields, terms, shop, SEO, user, menu and widget changes and database writes have no undo point.
- PHP (Pro, with write access on): Pro edits plugin and theme files and PHP snippets (Code Snippets, WPCode).
  Before saving, it parse-checks the PHP (up to 512 KB) and compiles it with php -l where the server can.
  Test requests follow each PHP edit to an active plugin, the active theme or a snippet that runs. If they hit
  a fatal error, Pro puts the previous version back. Inactive plugins and themes, and activating them, are not tested.
- Abilities of other plugins (Pro, WordPress 6.9 and newer): wp_list_abilities and wp_run_ability. They run
  when write access is on and the connection has full access. Then every ability runs that an administrator
  has not switched off under Fine-tuning. Read-only ones run at once. Every other one previews by default.
- Out of the box AlphaBridge only reads, because write access for AI assistants is off. Assistants then read
  content, media, terms, comments, settings and the structure of the site. They also read users, menus, the
  installed plugins and themes, cron events and, with WooCommerce, the shop's products, orders, customers and
  coupons. An administrator switches on write access with one switch at the top of the settings. It holds for every connection: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and
  all others. Write access allows writing, changing and deleting. It also opens the readers of code, files, the
  database, logs or credentials. Examples are SQL queries and the file, deploy and log readers. A notice says
  that changes then take effect immediately and can be destructive. Switching it on is at the owner's own risk.
  Switching it on switches every tool on. Single tools or groups can then be switched off under Fine-tuning,
  until write access is switched on the next time. A refused call names the reason, the next step and a direct
  link. The assistant passes them on.
- MCP revisions 2024-11-05, 2025-03-26, 2025-06-18 and the stateless 2026-07-28 on one endpoint
- Site Deploy (Agency): build a site locally with Claude, then push it over SFTP to the site's own server.
  Plain FTP and FTPS work only when allowed in wp-config.php. Credentials are encrypted, uploads
  go in chunks, and an atomic swap with rollback is optional. The pipeline runs inside the plugin, so there is
  no separate service to host. Credentials stay encrypted on your own server instead of passing through a client.
- Security: a token maps to a WordPress user's permissions and can be revoked. AlphaBridge only reads out of
  the box, and write access is at the owner's own risk. Search and replace previews changes by default.
  The audit log keeps the latest 200 calls.

- One switch, full power, and a way back. Claude and ChatGPT read a WordPress site out of the box
  and write once an administrator switches on write access. Undo is included in the free plugin, for page-builder elements
  too; Pro extends it to files and PHP snippets. When the test after a PHP edit to an active plugin or theme finds a fatal PHP
  error, Pro puts the old file back.
- Up to 10 sites in one chat through the free hub, in every edition. The hub stores the sites' access keys
  encrypted in the EU, in Cloudflare Durable Objects. The Claude sign-in data are in Cloudflare Workers KV:
  the client registration, the grant and token hashes. No storage region can be set there. A data processing
  agreement is published.
