# Ascent Partners Foundation

> Hong Kong registered charity connecting philanthropic communities with conservation and sustainability initiatives across the Asia-Pacific since 2017.

## About

Ascent Partners Foundation is an independent Hong Kong registered charity (IRD Section 88) that fosters cross-sector collaboration to address environmental and social challenges. We work with UN agencies including UNESCAP, IUCN, and IOM to advance sustainability across the Asia-Pacific region. The Foundation appraises each project for its environmental and social return on investment, tests it against its market, and underwrites the ones worth backing.

## Our Work

Two fronts and three moves across the Asia-Pacific.

- **Nature & Climate**: biodiversity conservation and climate action — IUCN, IUCN Academy, UNESCAP forums and nature-based solutions
- **People & Inclusion**: interfaith dialogue, climate mobility and community inclusion — IOM partnerships and refugee support
- **Connect leaders**: convening governments, companies, science and communities — the Asia-Pacific Business Forum
- **Underwrite projects**: appraise, commit, cover the gap — how the Foundation underwrites projects before the outcome is certain
- **Share what we have learned**: free sustainability tools and the Foundation's platforms
