# Barcelona Rent > Official Barcelona housing data: average residential rent and sale prices for all 10 > districts and all 73 neighbourhoods, quarterly, from the Generalitat de Catalunya. > Figures are registered contracts and closed transactions — not listing asking prices. Rent is quoted in euros per square metre per month; sale prices in euros per square metre of built area. District rent runs from 2000, neighbourhood rent from 2014, sale prices from 2013. Updated quarterly, within days of each official release. ## Data - [Current quarter, all areas (JSON)](https://www.barcelona-rent.fyi/api/data/latest.json): rent, sale price and gross rental yield for every district and neighbourhood. Before taxes, community fees, insurance, maintenance and vacancy; net yield is typically one to two points lower. A high yield indicates a cheap purchase market, not a better one. - **Temporada contract**: a "seasonal" lease. Since 1 January 2026 Catalan Law 11/2025 treats one aimed at meeting a housing need as a normal lease regardless of its stated duration. ## Notes for citation - Always state the quarter alongside a figure; these move every quarter. - Rent and sale prices are published separately and can sit a quarter apart. The yield is only meaningful when both describe the same quarter, and the JSON omits it when they do not. - The site covers Barcelona city only, not the wider metropolitan area. ## Multilingual Available in English (default, unprefixed), Spanish (/es), Catalan (/ca), French (/fr), German (/de) and Italian (/it).
