One call to sign up, one call to order. No person has to sign in, approve anything or enter payment details, and the agent does not operate an editor: it hands over a link and gets back the finished episode with a transcript, plus show notes (episodes of 10 minutes or longer) and highlight clips (5 minutes or longer). 1. Get a key: `POST https://barevalue.com/api/v1/agents/register` with JSON `{"email": "", "agent_name": ""}`. The response contains `api_key`. It works immediately. 2. Order: `POST https://barevalue.com/api/v1/orders/submit` with header `Authorization: Bearer ` and JSON `{"file_url": "", "podcast_name": "...", "episode_name": "...", "idempotency_key": ""}`. 3. Poll `GET https://barevalue.com/api/v1/orders/{order_id}` until `status` is `done`, then read the download links. Each one has a `kind`, such as `edited_audio`, `clip`, `show_notes` or `transcript`. 4. Optional: `GET https://barevalue.com/api/v1/orders/{order_id}/content` returns the show notes and transcript as text. 5. Ask your user whether they are happy with it and send the answer: `POST https://barevalue.com/api/v1/orders/{order_id}/feedback` with `{"rating": "positive"}` or `"negative"`. To have it changed, `POST .../orders/{order_id}/revision` with `{"instructions": "..."}`. It is free: accounts created this way are on the agent plan, 600 minutes of AI editing per 30 days at no charge. Before the user confirms their email the allowance is 30 minutes and 2 orders per 30 days; one click on the emailed link raises it to 600. AI editing is audio only, up to 60 minutes per file. Using MCP instead: connect to `https://barevalue.com/mcp` (streamable HTTP, no key needed to connect) and call `barevalue_register`, then `barevalue_submit_url`, then `barevalue_status`. `barevalue_content` returns the show notes and transcript as text, and `barevalue_updates` reports everything new on the account in one call. ## API - [API Documentation](https://barevalue.com/docs/api-v1): Full reference with request/response examples - [API Documentation as markdown](https://barevalue.com/docs/api-v1.md): The same reference as plain markdown - [Everything for agents in one file](https://barevalue.com/llms-full.txt): What the service does, how to connect each client, every MCP tool with its inputs and what it returns, the order of calls, limits and errors - [OpenAPI Spec](https://barevalue.com/api/v1/openapi.json): Machine-readable API specification - Base URL: `https://barevalue.com/api/v1` - Auth: Bearer token (`Authorization: Bearer bv_sk_...`) ### Discovery Endpoints (No Auth Required) - `POST /api/v1/agents/register` - Create an account and get an API key in one call - `GET /api/v1/pricing` - Machine-readable pricing for all tiers and services - `GET /api/v1/status` - API health, queue depth, processing estimates - `GET /api/v1/openapi.json` - OpenAPI 3.1 specification ### Key Endpoints (Auth Required) - `GET /api/v1/account` - Account info, balance, subscription - `POST /api/v1/orders/estimate` - Estimate order cost - `POST /api/v1/orders/submit` - Submit an AI editing order (the API orders AI editing only) - `GET /api/v1/orders/{id}` - Order status, time remaining, download links by kind, what the edit changed - `GET /api/v1/orders/{id}/content` - Show notes, transcript and edit summary as text - `POST /api/v1/orders/{id}/feedback` - Pass on whether the user is happy with the edit - `POST /api/v1/orders/{id}/revision` - Have a finished order edited again with new instructions - `GET /api/v1/updates` - Everything new on the account since the last call (what our emails say) - `POST /api/v1/webhooks` - Register delivery webhooks ## MCP Server One call to sign up, no sign-in, 10 free hours of editing a month, and what comes back is the finished episode. - Hosted: `https://barevalue.com/mcp` (streamable HTTP, nothing to install, no key needed to connect).
