Choose which key each project works with and lend it to a shared one. - [Create and revoke access keys](https://help.bitacora.live/access-keys.md): In Settings › Connector you see every tool that gets into your space and revoke it whenever you want. For the ones that don't open the browser, create an access key. - [Project context, so you can switch AI without starting over](https://help.bitacora.live/project-context.md): Each project keeps what the AI learned about it (the visual system and the reasons behind it, the interactions, the data, the decisions). If you switch tools, the new one reads it when it connects and carries on the same way. - [Can I use Bitácora without connecting any AI?](https://help.bitacora.live/can-i-use-bitacora-without-ai.md): Yes, for almost all the work around your screens. To get your notes applied you need an AI, and you have courtesy runs to try it out. - [Who pays for the AI when someone on my team runs?](https://help.bitacora.live/who-pays-for-ai.md): It depends on what it runs with. Through the connector, each person with their own AI plan. With an API key, the owner of the key the project uses. Bitácora doesn't charge for the AI. ## Projects - [Start a project from your client's brief](https://help.bitacora.live/start-from-brief.md): Upload the brief and documentation your client gave you when you create the project. They go into Resources and the AI starts proposing the screens from them on its own. - [Download and open a Bitácora file](https://help.bitacora.live/import-bitacora-file.md): A .bitacora file is a copy of a project. Download it from its card and open it in Projects to have it again, in your workspace or in another one. - [Duplicate, archive, delete, and restore projects](https://help.bitacora.live/manage-projects.md): From the menu on each card in Projects you duplicate, archive, or delete a project. What you delete waits 30 days in the trash in case you want it back. ## The canvas - [Pointer modes on the canvas](https://help.bitacora.live/pointer-modes.md): Browse, Interact, Select, Text, and Adjust change what a click does on the canvas. You choose them on the left rail or with V, I, S, T, and P. - [Group screens and assign owners](https://help.bitacora.live/groups-and-owners.md): Put the screens of the same flow into groups with a name and a color, let them group themselves, and assign who handles each group. - [Adjust an element of a screen by hand](https://help.bitacora.live/adjust-by-hand.md): With Adjust mode you change the padding, colors, type, corners or an icon of any element, without dictating or spending AI, on one screen or on all its copies. - [Fix a text right on the screen](https://help.bitacora.live/edit-texts.md): With Text mode you click any text on a screen, fix it and press Enter. No dictating and no AI used. - [Go back to an earlier version of a screen](https://help.bitacora.live/screen-history.md): Each screen keeps its latest versions. From its history you compare them side by side and restore the one you want. - [Choose between several versions of a screen](https://help.bitacora.live/screen-versions.md): Ask in a note for two or three proposals for the same element, compare them one at a time or side by side and keep the one you like. - [Fix a screen's accessibility warnings](https://help.bitacora.live/accessibility-checks.md): Bitácora checks contrast, touch size, small text and unnamed elements on every screen, and lets you fix them all with one note. - [Try a design in the full window](https://help.bitacora.live/try-the-design.md): With desktop or tablet screens, Try design opens the screen in the full window in a new tab, with its links, so you can try it like the finished product and dictate over it. - [Free photos and library icons for your screens](https://help.bitacora.live/images-and-icons.md): Swap a screen's images for free-to-use photos or your own, and choose the project's icon libraries, without spending AI. The AI also uses them when it builds. - [Try the project on your phone](https://help.bitacora.live/try-on-mobile.md): Scan the QR code in "Try it on your phone" and browse your screens on your phone as if it were the finished app. - [Canvas keyboard shortcuts](https://help.bitacora.live/shortcuts.md): All the keys and gestures for the canvas, for notes, and for To-dos and Flow, on a single page. ## Notes - [Dictate a note](https://help.bitacora.live/dictate-a-note.md): Press R, say what you would change while you look at the screen, and click to mark where. The note stays pinned to that spot, ready to run. - [Write a note instead of dictating it](https://help.bitacora.live/write-a-note.md): Press E, write the change you're asking for and press Enter. It works just like a dictated one and goes into the same batch. - [Answer the AI's questions](https://help.bitacora.live/ai-questions.md): When a note is unclear, "The AI has questions" appears. One dictation or one message answers them all, and the note goes into the batch. - [Your vocabulary: Bitácora learns how you name things](https://help.bitacora.live/your-vocabulary.md): Bitácora keeps track of the words you use when you dictate ("the pill" is a filter chip) to understand you better across all your projects. You see, correct, and delete them in Settings. ## Run and review - [Run your notes and review the changes](https://help.bitacora.live/run-and-review.md): Click Run, watch your screens change on the canvas, and go through each adjustment in Review, with its before and after, to approve it or revert it. - [Choose what runs your notes](https://help.bitacora.live/run-settings.md): Your Claude through the connector, your API key, or your own AI working on the files. Here you choose, test without spending, and decide whether you approve each batch. - [Undo what a batch did](https://help.bitacora.live/revert-changes.md): From Review you take a screen, or every screen in a batch, back to how it was before the run. The notes go back to the strip so you can try them again. - [My team dictates on the same screens at the same time. Who runs, and what goes into the batch?](https://help.bitacora.live/team-dictating-same-screens.md): The ready notes from the whole project, from everyone, go in, unless you choose only yours. Whoever runs launches the batch and each person signs off on their own changes. ## Sketches - [Draw on the boards](https://help.bitacora.live/sketch-boards.md): In Sketches you draw what you want by hand, dictate over the drawing and, when you run, the AI turns it into screens. The board moves to Processed with the screens that came out of it. - [Sketch on top of a screen](https://help.bitacora.live/quick-sketch.md): Send a screen to a sketch board to draw what you want to change on top of it, or make a quick sketch while you review its animations. ## Flow - [Draw the navigation flow](https://help.bitacora.live/build-the-flow.md): In the Flow tab you draw how people get from one screen to another, with screens, conditions, notes and arrows, or you ask the AI to draw it from your screens. - [Approve the flow map](https://help.bitacora.live/approve-the-flow.md): When you approve the map, the AI builds, one after another, the screens the Flow has planned that don't exist yet. If you change it later, you can compare the current map with the approved one. ## Design system - [Change colors, typography, and corners on every screen](https://help.bitacora.live/design-system-tokens.md): In the Design System tab you change a color, a font family, or the corner radius on every screen at once, instantly and without using AI. - [Shared pieces: change one and they all change](https://help.bitacora.live/shared-pieces.md): What repeats across several screens, like a tab bar or a button, the AI turns into a shared piece. Adjust it once and all its copies change. - [The style guide, the documentation and Updates](https://help.bitacora.live/style-guide-and-docs.md): Three documents the AI writes and keeps up to date with every batch, for you, for whoever codes and for your client. You ask for them with a button and share them in the portal. ## Deliver to your client - [Deliver a project to your client](https://help.bitacora.live/publish-delivery.md): From the Delivery button you choose who it goes to, how they get in and which screens travel, and you publish. Your client gets it in their portal and sends you their comments right there. - [Choose how your client gets into the delivery](https://help.bitacora.live/delivery-access.md): A password for each person, one password for everyone or a public link. What each one shows, what you will know about who gets in and how to change it. - [Choose what your client sees in their portal](https://help.bitacora.live/what-your-client-sees.md): Turn the delivery's sections, tools, and each screen on or off, see who has signed in, and open it exactly as your client will see it. - [See who viewed the delivery and remind them](https://help.bitacora.live/who-saw-it.md): After publishing, the delivery summary tells you who is up to date, who hasn't seen the latest and who hasn't opened it, screen by screen. - [Publish the next update](https://help.bitacora.live/next-update.md): When you change screens after delivering, publish a new update with everything or only with what changed. Your client sees what's new and what changed. - [Handle your client's comments](https://help.bitacora.live/comments-to-notes.md): Comments from the portal reach your canvas. Reply to them, close them, or turn them into notes so they go into your next batch. - [Download the delivery as a ZIP](https://help.bitacora.live/download-zip.md): Instead of publishing to the portal, take the project with you as a ZIP. With Essential, the screen captures; from Professional on, the full HTML. - [Put your studio's brand on the portal](https://help.bitacora.live/portal-brand.md): Your logo, your color, your name, and your address on the portal your clients see, plus the help email and WhatsApp and the language. - [What exactly does my client see, and what don't they?](https://help.bitacora.live/what-client-sees-exactly.md): In their portal, your client sees the screens you publish and what you turn on in What the client sees. They never see your notes, your working canvas, your Resources, your payments, or your team. - [What happens to my client's comments if I publish a new version?](https://help.bitacora.live/comments-after-new-version.md): They stay where they were, on their screen. The ones you turned into notes move to "Applied" on their own when you publish the version that resolves them, and your client confirms whether it looks right. - [Can I deliver one part of the project to one client and another part to another?](https://help.bitacora.live/deliver-part-to-each-client.md): Within the same project, no; everyone who receives the delivery sees the same thing. To split it, duplicate the project and deliver each client their own copy. ## The portal, for your client - [Sign in to your project portal](https://help.bitacora.live/client-sign-in.md): With the button in the email you get in without typing anything for 30 days. If not, type the password the studio gave you. You do not need an account. - [Comment on a delivery](https://help.bitacora.live/client-comment.md): Sign in with the button in the email or with your password, click Comment and click the spot on the screen where you want the change. You will see when it is applied. - [Browse the screens and the prototype](https://help.bitacora.live/client-explore.md): In the portal you see your deliveries, each screen with its versions and the prototype to click through as if it were the app, plus the canvas, the flow and the documents. - [See what changed between versions](https://help.bitacora.live/client-compare-versions.md): Each time the studio publishes an update, the screens that change get a new version. With Compare you see the previous one and the new one side by side. - [View your project on your phone](https://help.bitacora.live/client-on-mobile.md): If the studio turned it on, the email includes "Open on your phone": the delivery full screen, like an app, which you can install from your browser. ## For developers - [Measurements, colors, and code with developer mode](https://help.bitacora.live/developer-mode.md): In the portal's Dev tab you measure any element, see its typography, its colors, and its box, and copy its CSS and HTML. - [Connect your AI agent to a delivery](https://help.bitacora.live/agent-delivery.md): If you code what was delivered to you, your agent (Claude Code, Cursor, or another) reads the delivery's screens, documents, and assets through the Bitácora connector. - [Download the delivery files](https://help.bitacora.live/delivery-downloads.md): From the Dev tab in the portal you download one screen or the whole delivery. From Professional up, as HTML you can browse offline; with Essential, as screenshots. ## My clients - [Keep track of your clients: companies, people, and lists](https://help.bitacora.live/companies-and-people.md): In My clients you keep the companies and people you work with and group them into lists, so you can pick them when you deliver and track what you collected on each project. - [Import your contacts](https://help.bitacora.live/import-contacts.md): Bring people from a CSV or a vCard into My clients, and companies from a CSV. Anyone already there with the same email is not duplicated: they get updated. - [Your clients' statuses, actions, and tags](https://help.bitacora.live/client-statuses.md): Mark where each company and each person stands, what has happened with them, and how you recognize them, so you can find them at a glance in My clients. - [Keep track of what was agreed and collected on each project](https://help.bitacora.live/project-payments.md): Record for each project who the client is, how much you agreed, and what they've paid you so far. It's your own record; Bitácora doesn't charge your clients or issue invoices. ## Teams and roles - [Invite your team to a project](https://help.bitacora.live/invite-your-team.md): From the canvas team button you invite people by email, choose each person's role, and let them in when they're waiting at the door. - [Roles: who can do what](https://help.bitacora.live/roles.md): Each person in a shared project has one of four roles, from Owner to View only. This table says what each one allows. - [Create your teams](https://help.bitacora.live/my-teams.md): A team brings together the people you work with, each with their role, so you can add them all at once to the projects you share. - [Seats and collaboration pass](https://help.bitacora.live/seats-and-pass.md): Each person who enters a shared project takes a seat. Your plan includes some; for the rest there's the collaboration pass, a one-time payment for the months you choose. - [Let in someone waiting at the door](https://help.bitacora.live/admit-and-seats.md): When someone joins a shared project and there is no free seat, they wait at the door at no cost. From Project team you let them in as soon as you have room. - [Split the review with your team](https://help.bitacora.live/review-together.md): Split the screens into groups with an owner each, see where each teammate is, notify them with @, and let each person approve their own changes. ## Plans and billing - [What each plan includes](https://help.bitacora.live/plans-compared.md): Bitácora's five plans, Free, Essential, Professional, Studio, and Agency, with their price and everything each one includes. AI isn't part of the price; it comes with your own account. - [Change your plan or cancel](https://help.bitacora.live/change-plan.md): Upgrade right away, downgrade at the end of what you paid for, or cancel to go back to Free. Nothing is deleted, and before you downgrade you choose who keeps getting in. - [Disk space and extra storage](https://help.bitacora.live/extra-storage.md): Check in Settings › Plan how much space your studio uses, make room by emptying the trash, and if you need more, buy extra storage in 10 GB packs. - [I downgraded my plan. What happens to my projects, my team, and my deliveries?](https://help.bitacora.live/downgrade-what-happens.md): Nothing is deleted. Whatever the new plan doesn't include turns off when the change takes effect, and anyone who doesn't fit in the seats waits at the door with all their work. ## Account and settings - [Your account: name, photo, language, password, and sessions](https://help.bitacora.live/account-settings.md): In Settings › Account you change how your team sees you and which language Bitácora speaks to you, create or change your password, and close sessions you don't recognize. In Studio, the name your clients see. - [Choose which notifications you get](https://help.bitacora.live/notifications.md): In Settings › Notifications you decide what reaches the bell and your email, from your clients' comments to the Monday summary. - [Take your data with you and recover what you deleted](https://help.bitacora.live/export-your-data.md): Download a file with every project in the studio, your clients and your payments, and take the projects you deleted in the last 30 days out of the trash. - [Delete your account](https://help.bitacora.live/delete-account.md): What gets deleted, how to take your data first and how to change your mind within the next 14 days. ## On your phone - [Bitácora on mobile: dictate and run from your phone](https://help.bitacora.live/bitacora-lite.md): Bitácora Lite is Bitácora on your phone. You open your projects, dictate changes on the screens, run them and manage your team and your clients, wherever you are. - [Install Bitácora on your phone](https://help.bitacora.live/install-app.md): Add Bitácora to your iPhone or Android home screen and it opens full screen, like an app, with one tap. ## Affiliates - [The affiliate program](https://help.bitacora.live/affiliate-program.md): Recommend Bitácora with your link and earn a fixed commission for every month the people who come through you pay, for two years. ## Troubleshooting - [The microphone is not working](https://help.bitacora.live/microphone-not-working.md): If Bitácora will not let you dictate, it is almost always the browser's permission, another app using the microphone, or a connection without https. Here is each message and what to do. - [The connector is not responding or your AI cannot see Bitácora](https://help.bitacora.live/connector-not-responding.md): If your AI chat says it cannot find Bitácora or that it is not authorized, giving permission again is almost always enough. Here is each case and how to fix it. - [Your AI chat stopped in the middle of a batch](https://help.bitacora.live/ai-chat-stopped.md): If your chat stops working in the middle of a batch, Bitácora lets you know, keeps what it already did, and lets you continue from a new chat. With your API key, Review tells you what failed. - [Your client can't get into the portal](https://help.bitacora.live/client-cant-sign-in.md): If your client can't open the delivery, the message they see says why. Here is what's happening in each case and what you can do from What the client sees. - [Screens don't update on the canvas](https://help.bitacora.live/screens-not-updating.md): The canvas catches up on its own in a few seconds. If a screen doesn't change, check your connection, reload it, or zoom in to see it live. ## How to work - [How to dictate a change so it comes out right the first time](https://help.bitacora.live/how-to-dictate-well.md): Five habits that help the AI understand your notes without doubts or redoing: point, name what you see, say the result, one idea at a time, and ask for options when you're unsure. - [Review a prototype in ten minutes](https://help.bitacora.live/review-a-prototype.md): A short routine to review your screens the way your client would, dictate changes as you go, and run them all together at the end. - [Organize a project with many screens](https://help.bitacora.live/organize-a-big-project.md): With dozens of screens, order comes from groups, the Flow, shared pieces and the Design System. That way you keep finding your way and the AI keeps things consistent. - [From brief to first prototype in an afternoon](https://help.bitacora.live/from-brief-to-prototype.md): The full path of a new project, from your client's brief to a clickable prototype you can show them, step by step and with what's worth doing at each one. - [Present a delivery to your client](https://help.bitacora.live/present-a-delivery.md): How to prepare the delivery so your client understands it, show it to them in a meeting, and collect their comments without losing any. - [When to adjust by hand and when to dictate](https://help.bitacora.live/adjust-or-dictate.md): For an exact value, adjust it by hand; for a change across the whole project, use the Design System; for anything that changes structure or behavior, dictate.
