Isabelle recognizes the term ‘Cassie Hour’ from Villa Liminal, not the song itself. Later inspection separates an old shell from a much newer recording and follows the cassette's material route.
Editorial reading: The two chapters make listening a question of custody as much as sound: recognition can identify a trace without explaining who made it or how it traveled.
