# chucho

> chucho is a traveler-first way to find where to stay and what to do. Describe the trip you want — the vibe, who is coming, what matters — and chucho matches it to the right home, town and nearby activities, then sends you to book directly with the host. It is the opposite of scrolling an endless listing grid.

chucho is built for travelers planning a trip alone or together, in English or Spanish, anywhere its hosts publish homes. This is vibe search: chucho ranks homes by how closely their host-approved descriptions and photos match the trip a traveler describes ("a quiet jungle house with an ocean view where we can work"), then combines that with hard requirements such as place, guests, bedrooms, pool and amenities. Its trip-planning agent works from real homes and real places: host-approved property facts, what is genuinely nearby and worth doing, and how a town works for visitors. Groups can plan together, shortlisting homes and deciding as one trip rather than one person searching for everyone. Booking happens with the host, on the host's own website or through a host enquiry; chucho does not take payment or confirm reservations, and booking direct can reduce intermediary fees without guaranteeing savings.

What sets chucho apart is that it also runs the guest guides inside the homes it lists. Chucho Go (a private web guide on the guest's phone) and Chucho Stay (an optional in-property tablet) are used during real stays, so chucho's picture of a home, a town and what to do there is grounded in how stays actually go, not only in listing copy.

## For hosts

Hosts and property managers in any country, primarily across the English- and Spanish-speaking world, use Chucho Go and Chucho Stay to welcome guests, and their homes become discoverable to travelers who book direct. Every guest-facing surface and the host console work in English and Spanish. The company is based in Uvita, Costa Rica, where it started. In-app ordering and partner experiences depend on local partner coverage (live today in Costa Rica); everything else works anywhere.

Hosts start free with one property: the optional public listing, the private Chucho Go guide (opened from a link or QR code, no app or account), unlimited host picks, and 100 text answers plus 15 voice minutes of guest answers per month, in English and Spanish. Publishing a public page is an explicit host choice and is available on every plan. Paid plans are USD 39 per property per month or USD 399 per property per year, with no setup fee or contract. They add unlimited answers, ordering from local businesses with a share returned to the host where partners serve the area, bookable experiences, a living guestbook and the portfolio console. An in-property tablet is optional: bring a compatible Android tablet or buy one for a USD 300 one-time charge.

## Public property discovery

Opt-in public homes worldwide expose approved property facts. Visible maps show the general area; published home-page JSON-LD can include configured coordinates, street address and postal code. Wi-Fi passwords and access codes remain private. Country, region and town destinations use a shared public place registry. Supported host sites provide date and price checks; participating properties accept reviewed, explicitly approved booking enquiries. A quote or enquiry does not confirm a reservation. Booking links open the host’s external destination.

Search supports combined location, guest capacity, bedroom, bathroom, amenity and pool filters.
Vibe (semantic) search: pass the traveler's own description of the trip as `semantic` on
`/api/public/v1/properties` or the MCP `search_properties` tool, alone or with the filters above.
Results are ranked by text and photo similarity across indexed homes; the response's `semantic`
block reports coverage and limitations. Similarity is a ranking, not a fact: confirm hard
requirements with filters and property facts. See the agent guide for details.
Country accepts ISO alpha-2 codes or English/Spanish names; use the live filters for place keys.

Missing or hidden details are unknown. Re-fetch current facts before recommending a property;
unpublication immediately revokes property data and photos. Bookings, prices and availability
must be confirmed at the host's booking destination.
