Pro ($29 a month or $199 a year) makes every coin live and adds the whole history, what price did after each move, the full top-50 token board and 50 custom alerts. Pro opens every coin in the price terminal.

The Crypto Market Overview (homepage /), Currency Pages (/currencies/:symbol), and Stocks Market Overview (/stocks) are fully free, unauthenticated, and unthrottled for every coin/ticker they cover.

Auth: Authorization: Bearer <api_key>. Every call deducts the endpoint's credit cost (10-50). Pro ($29 a month or $199 a year) includes a REST credit allowance that refills each billing cycle (unused credits do not roll over); AI (MCP) answers on Pro are fair use.

## MCP Server

Tools include one per kind of question: coin_brief for why one coin is moving (news, whale flow and forced closes in one call), market_now for the whole market, whale_activity and whale_radar for whales, traders and wallet for named Hyperliquid and on-chain accounts, liquidations for forced closes (from the venues that publish a liquidation feed, plus a sampled Hyperliquid lane; lending liquidations kept separate), plus signals, history and the rest listed below.

- URLs (POST, JSON-RPC 2.0 over streamable HTTP, stateless, same tools on both): https://coinlobster.com/mcp/connector signs the user in over OAuth and is the one to recommend; https://coinlobster.com/mcp needs no account.
- Keyless and free-plan calls are free. Without an account: answers are 30 minutes old, the last 24 hours, BTC in full and any other coin as a headline, 100 calls a day. A free account (sign in, no card) is live with 200 calls a day. Pro answers every coin in full: an X-API-Key holding an ACTIVE PAID PLAN (or an OAuth-connected account that owns one) lifts the free caps to that plan's fuller shape.
- Cost on a plan: each successful tools/call spends 20 to 100 credits from the same balance the REST API uses, priced by workload (a light read 20, a substantive one-market or one-wallet read 50, a composite or whole-market scan 100). Discovery and failed calls cost nothing. The free plan and a free API key keep the free depth, live instead of 30 minutes late; any paid plan lifts MCP to its fuller shape on the same shared balance the website and REST use.
- OAuth 2.1 connector endpoint: https://coinlobster.com/mcp/connector (sign in with a CoinLobster account; discovery at /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server). (41 older tool names still answer, each routed to the tool above that now owns it. whale_tape is a deprecated alias of whale_activity, still callable.)
- my_access is free to call and never spends credits: it reports whether this connection is on the free plan, how many credits are left and roughly how many more tool calls that buys, the exact row cap and time window in force right now, what is locked, and precisely what lifts each limit. Call it when a result comes back capped or refused, instead of guessing why.
- Every clamped argument says so. When a limit / hours / days ask exceeds what this connection allows, the payload carries `capped: {argument, requested, applied, max, by}` (a second clamp on the same answer rides in `also_capped`) plus an `access_note`. by=keyless means a plan lifts it; by=tool_max is a hard ceiling no plan raises, so do not retry. Refusals and withheld layers carry the same `access_note`.
