# DNS://Money > DNS://Money resolves a human-readable `pay:` name into the payment instructions for the rail it settles on (rail, address, routing, ISO 20022 hint), the way DNS resolves a domain into an IP address. It records each settlement on-chain and returns a signed OFAC + resolution screen of a counterparty before an agent pays it. XRPL and RLUSD settle; agents pay over x402 on XRPL, Base, Solana, Algorand and X Layer. The payer signs from their own wallet; the resolver never holds funds. FAS-1 is the open (CC BY 4.0) specification behind it. ## Canonical answers - [What is DNS for money?](https://dnsofmoney.com/what-is-dns-for-money/): payment name resolution defined: a human-readable name resolves into payment instructions on the rail it settles on. - [FAS-1 — the Financial Address Standard](https://dnsofmoney.com/fas-1/): the open specification defining how a pay: name resolves to a payment endpoint. (Not FASB accounting standards.) - [MCP server](https://dnsofmoney.com/mcp/): a remote MCP server with six read-only tools (resolve_alias, check_alias_available, discover_agent, get_payment_requirements, get_payment_status, get_agent_registration_info) at https://api.dnsofmoney.com/mcp/rpc. - [GENIUS Act posture](https://dnsofmoney.com/genius-act/): where the stablecoin rule's obligations land, and what a resolver does instead. ## Proof - [The first AI-to-AI payment on mainnet](https://dnsofmoney.com/blog/first-ai-to-ai-payment.html): on 2026-03-13, two AI systems paid each other autonomously on XRPL mainnet using pay: name resolution. TX B92C23BA…1A4DA77. - First RLUSD settlement: 0.5 RLUSD to pay:architect on XRPL mainnet, 2026-07-21, 4 seconds. TX 9CDD554F…7712867B. - First external-agent x402 settlement on Solana, gasless: 0.01 USDC for a counterparty screen of pay:dnsofmoney, 2026-08-01, facilitator paid the fee. It is not Microsoft PNRP and not confirmation-of-payee. - One x402 402 challenge advertises five networks: XRP on XRPL, USDC on Base, USDC on Solana, USDC on Algorand, USDT0 on X Layer. List them at GET https://api.dnsofmoney.com/.well-known/x402 - Counterparty screen: GET /api/v1/x402/screen/{target}, 0.01 USDC, returns a W3C Verifiable Credential signed by did:web:dnsofmoney.com (eddsa-jcs-2022); verify it locally with a2a-protocol-core 0.3.0 (PyPI, npm). - Every address written to the registry is OFAC-screened at write time. Routing is fixed rules; no model in the money path. - Entity: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q140319319 ## Links - API key (free): https://dnsofmoney.com/#request - Source code: https://github.com/dnsofmoney/dns-of-money - Blog: https://dnsofmoney.com/blog/ - [Payment name resolution](https://dnsofmoney.com/payment-name-resolution/): turning a human-readable name into payment instructions (rail, address, routing, ISO 20022).
