# Edgrapi — US Government Data API > Official US government data as clean JSON for developers and AI agents, on one API key and one consistent schema. SEC EDGAR filings — insider trades (Form 4), 8-K material events, 13F fund holdings, 13D/13G activist stakes, plus normalized financial statements, ratios and 10-K/10-Q section text for any US-listed ticker. Federal data — SAM.gov contract opportunities, USAspending spending awards, Grants.gov grant opportunities, and US House Congress stock trades. Free tier: 50 credits, no card. All sources are free, official and public-domain; the value is the parsing and normalization most pipelines get wrong — aggregating a 13F across sub-managers so a position is not double-counted, treating a put as a bearish bet, handling the 2023 dollars switch, XBRL tags that drift across companies, and each agency's own quirky payload. Edgrapi returns the correct JSON, not just clean JSON. Auth: `X-API-Key: edgr_...` (or `Authorization: Bearer edgr_...`). Base URL: `https://api.edgrapi.com`. Responses are JSON; failures return an `error` field. ## Get a key in 30 seconds - [Sign up free](https://edgrapi.com/app): 50 free credits, no credit card.
