# Flight MCP > Flight MCP is a cache-aware flight search service for independent developers and AI agents. It exposes one normalized search contract through REST and MCP. Already-cached results can be searched without an account; fetching the latest data requires a free account and API key. The authenticated REST endpoint is `POST /v1/flights/search` and the authenticated MCP endpoint is `POST /mcp`. The no-account Open Cache endpoints are `POST /v1/flights/search/cached` and `POST /mcp/public`; both return at most 20 cached one-way offers and never start a new external search. Open Cache is fixed to one adult in economy, USD, en-US, and US point of sale. It supports these directed routes only: JFK-LHR, LAX-JFK, SFO-JFK, LAX-SYD, HND-LAX, ICN-NRT, HKG-SIN, SIN-SYD, LHR-CDG, and FRA-JFK. Each route covers every departure date over the next 180 days, with each date refreshed weekly. Their cache-miss response tells the caller to create a free account to fetch the latest flight data. Public price datasets are available at `/routes`. The MCP tool is `flight_search` on both transports. ## API - [API documentation](https://flight-mcp.com/docs): Authentication, request fields, response schema, cache behavior, monthly quotas, response headers, and errors. - [Flight search without an API key](https://flight-mcp.com/guides/flight-search-api-without-api-key): Account-free Open Cache quickstart for REST and MCP, supported routes, fixed conditions, and cache-miss behavior. - [OpenAPI specification](https://flight-mcp.com/openapi.json): Machine-readable OpenAPI 3.1 contract for the REST flight-search endpoint. - [Full LLM reference](https://flight-mcp.com/llms-full.txt): Expanded product and API reference in Markdown. - [Service health](https://flight-mcp.com/healthz): Worker liveness endpoint; this does not guarantee upstream or dependency readiness. ## Product - [Overview](https://flight-mcp.com/): Product capabilities and REST/MCP integration overview. - [Pricing](https://flight-mcp.com/pricing): Free, Lite, and Pro monthly plans.
