# Invokely > Official statistics for AI agents. One MCP or REST call returns a figure with its unit, period, resolved place and a citable official source. Coverage: the United States by state and county, European Union countries and regions, Spain down to municipality, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand from their statistics offices, and every country and the world from the World Bank, with World Bank population projections to 2050 kept apart from measured figures. Use the MCP server for answers that need an official number. Always cite the source block and the period. For municipal unemployment in Spain use registered_unemployment_rate; the survey unemployment_rate for Spain is published only down to province. Projections come only when get_series is called with include_projections, in a separate block; say that a projected figure is a projection. Central bank policy rates from the BIS cost no calls on any plan. ## Connect - [MCP server](https://invokely.ai/mcp): Streamable HTTP. API key (Authorization: Bearer ivk_...) or OAuth for Claude.ai and ChatGPT connectors. - [MCP trial](https://invokely.ai/mcp/trial): No account, 25 calls a day per IP address. - [Agent documentation](https://invokely.ai/docs): Tools, arguments, response format, client configuration. - [OpenAPI](https://invokely.ai/openapi.json): REST API description. - [Alerts and webhooks](https://invokely.ai/docs/alerts): Release and revision alerts by email, signed webhook or a polling feed, with webhook verification samples. - [MCP server card](https://invokely.ai/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json): Name, endpoints, transport, protocol versions and authentication of the MCP server. - [llms-full.txt](https://invokely.ai/llms-full.txt): This file plus every indicator's unit, frequencies, levels and sources, every tool's arguments, the REST endpoints and the source licenses. ## Public pages - [Rankings](https://invokely.ai/rankings): Countries, US states and counties, EU regions and Spanish places ranked by each indicator, one source and one period per ranking. - [Release calendar](https://invokely.ai/calendar): When official figures come out, this week and the next four, with announced and estimated dates told apart. iCalendar feed: https://invokely.ai/calendar.ics - [Indicator pages](https://invokely.ai/data): One page per indicator with key facts, its rankings and the places it covers, for example https://invokely.ai/en/population. - Every value, ranking and indicator page has a Markdown version with the figures, period, source and citation: add .md to the URL, for example https://invokely.ai/en/population/japan.md. - Value and ranking charts can be embedded in other sites with an iframe at /embed/{indicator}/{place} or /embed/rankings/{indicator}/{scope}, for example https://invokely.ai/embed/population/japan. oEmbed: https://invokely.ai/oembed?url=https%3A%2F%2Finvokely.ai%2Fen%2Fpopulation%2Fjapan. - get_value, get_series, compare and rank_places take citation_style (apa, mla, chicago, harvard, bibtex, ris or all) to return formatted citations in the source block. - [Check a claim](https://invokely.ai/check): check_claim verifies stated figures against the official source and returns accurate, approximately_accurate, inaccurate, outdated or unverifiable, with the official figure, its period and a citation. Up to 20 claims per call; one call is metered per 5 claims. - [Enrich a table](https://invokely.ai/docs#enrich): How to add official figures to the rows of a table with resolve_place and compare, over MCP or REST, with a Python example. The MCP prompts enrich_table and fact_check give an agent these steps and the steps to fact-check a text. ## Tools - search_indicators: Find official statistical indicators by natural language, in English or Spanish. Use this first when you do not know the exact indicator id. - resolve_place: Turn a place name into the normalized entity Invokely uses, with its official codes (INE, Idescat, NUTS, ISO, US FIPS) and parent. - get_value: Get one official figure for an indicator and place: the latest by default, or a given period. - get_series: Get the time series of an indicator for one place, oldest to newest, from one source so the points are comparable. - compare: Compare one indicator across 2 to 10 places for the same period, using one shared source and definition whenever possible. - rank_places: Rank every place of one level inside an area by an indicator: all countries of the world, EU countries, US states, the counties or cities of a state, US cities, the regions of a country, the municipalities of a Spanish province. - get_revisions: List every version Invokely has kept of a figure: each time the publisher revised it, or only changed its status (for example provisional to final). - check_claim: Check stated figures against the official source: one claim or a batch of up to 20. Use it to fact-check a draft or an article. One call is metered per 5 claims; claims that come back unverifiable are not charged. - get_place_profile: An overview of one place in a single call: its latest official figures grouped in sections (people, work and income, economy, prices and housing, business and tourism, health, digital, energy and environment), each with its period, its change from a year earlier, its rank among similar places and its source, plus a one-sentence summary per section. - workspace_list: List the charts, tables and datasets saved in the user's private Invokely workspace (Pro plan). Only the owner sees them. - workspace_get: Read one item of the user's private workspace by id (from workspace_list). - workspace_save: Save a chart, a table or a dataset to the user's private workspace. Needs the Pro plan; on other plans it returns PLAN_REQUIRED. Use it when the user asks to keep, save or store a chart, table or data. - workspace_update: Change a saved chart, table or dataset in place. The id stays the same, so links and references keep working. Pass the id and only the fields to change. Needs the Pro plan. - workspace_delete: Delete one item of the user's private workspace by id. It cannot be undone, so confirm with the user first. Returns {deleted: id}. - release_calendar: When official figures come out: the scheduled releases of the publishers behind Invokely (BLS, BEA, Census, Treasury, Eurostat, ECB, INE, ONS, CSO calendars, read daily), from 30 days back to 90 days ahead. - subscribe_alert: Create an alert that tells the user when a new period of an indicator is published for a place, or when a published value is revised. Use it for "notify me when Spain's CPI is out", "tell me when Texas unemployment is revised", "alert me when my saved chart gets new data". - list_alerts: List the user's alerts with their target, events, channel, status (active or paused, with paused_reason) and last delivery. Returns {alerts: [{id, label, target, events, channel, email_mode?, webhook_url?, status, paused_reason?, consecutive_failures, created_at, last_delivery?}]}. - update_alert: Pause or resume an alert, change its events, email_mode or label, or rotate a webhook signing secret. Pass the id and only the fields to change. - delete_alert: Delete one alert by id. Its delivery log goes with it. Returns {deleted: id}. - list_changes: What changed in the series the user has alerts on: new periods and revisions, oldest first.
