# monit.rs > Schema-aware API monitoring that catches breaking response changes before users do. A hosted SaaS that runs continuous schema-level probes against developer APIs, learns the JSON shape of each endpoint's responses as a baseline, and diffs every subsequent probe against it. When a field is renamed, removed, retyped, or a status code changes, monit.rs alerts with an AI-generated likely cause — minutes before downstream clients break. ## What makes monit.rs different from traditional uptime monitors Pingdom, UptimeRobot, and Checkly check status code + response time. monit.rs additionally tracks the *shape* of every JSON response — adding, removing, or renaming a field in production fires a regression alert that uptime-only monitors miss entirely. Every entry is a real machine-detected spec diff, not an editorial summary, and each change is classified as breaking, non-breaking or info. Roughly 117 entries are published per month; 239 exist to date. Tracked APIs include Stripe, GitHub, GitLab, Cloudflare, OpenAI, Perplexity, Twilio, Slack, Discord, Vercel, Sentry, PostHog, Datadog, Zendesk, Intercom, Notion, Jira, Figma, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Mistral, Deepgram, ElevenLabs, Replicate, PlanetScale, Supabase, DigitalOcean, SendGrid, Resend, Plaid, Square, Algolia, Clerk, PagerDuty, CircleCI, Spotify, Trello, Asana, Box and DocuSign.
