# MYOPL

> MYOPL (My Open Play Leagues, pronounced "My Opal") is an open play and messaging platform for players, courts, clubs and recurring recreational communities. Players find games, coordinate attendance, record participant-confirmed match results and earn separate singles and doubles OPL Ratings. Pickleball is the currently available sport. ### What is an Open Play League (OPL)?

An OPL is a continuing community built around recurring open play. An ordinary
MYOPL OPL has a shared conversation and can include scheduled Events,
attendance responses, confirmed matches and a Seeded Leaderboard. A regional
OPL rating page is a geographic rating view, not a joinable OPL conversation.

### How does MYOPL confirm a match?

A player enters the participants and score. The result enters match and rating
processing after the submitter and at least one other participant confirm it,
including through an applicable auto-approval setting. Confirmation does not
require every doubles player or necessarily an opposing player to respond.

### How do OPL Ratings differ from tournament ratings?

OPL Ratings reflect the recreational games players choose to record and
confirm in MYOPL. Singles and doubles have separate ratings. A reliability
measure describes the supporting match evidence. Players can maintain an OPL
Rating alongside another rating system; MYOPL does not claim they are interchangeable.

### Is MYOPL free?

The core account, messaging, events and RSVPs, match recording and OPL Rating
are free. MYOPL Plus and Elite are optional paid plans; the Seeded Leaderboard
requires Plus or Elite. Refer to the company facts and purchase terms for

### What rules does MYOPL use?

MYOPL provides pickleball rules assistance under an official licensing
agreement with USA Pickleball, using the official 2026 USA Pickleball Rulebook.
Answers preserve rule citations and edition information. USA Pickleball is the
governing rules authority; missing play details may require clarification.

### What can an external AI assistant access?

The public MCP at `https://api.myopl.net/mcp` offers five read-only tools:

`get_public_player_rating` and `prepare_pickleball_browse`. No account or API
