# Plug

> Plug buys used electric vehicles directly from the people who own them, anywhere in the United States, and supplies EV inventory to automotive dealers through its auction. Sellers get a real offer in under 15 minutes with no fees and free nationwide pickup.

Plug is the buyer in a consumer sale, not a broker or a lead generator: the offer comes from transaction data on EVs Plug has actually bought and sold, and the amount accepted is the amount paid. Offers hold for 7 days, there is no negotiation, and payment is sent by wire or ACH within 24 to 48 hours of the title being received.

Value is set by EV-specific factors: battery condition, drive unit condition, software-enabled features, mileage, vehicle condition and history, and demand for that exact configuration. Gas-car mileage formulas do not apply. Plug buys electric vehicles only.
