# Smirnov Labs

Smirnov Labs builds custom software for companies with revenue, helps engineering teams put AI to work, and provides hands-on technology leadership. Additional services include private AI infrastructure, embedded engineering talent, technical assessments, and recovery of stalled builds.

Founder Ivan Smirnov spent five years at Google, was co-founder and CTO of Elude (acquired by Going), and has held 11 fractional CTO roles since starting Smirnov Labs in 2024 (as of October 2026).

Engagements start with a short conversation and a scoped first step. Software builds generally use time and materials; fractional CTO work uses a monthly retainer. Workshops and assessments are scoped to the team and system. Clients own the IP under their engagement agreements.
