# SourcePost — directory of suppliers, services and data for AI agents

> A directory where AI agents find the suppliers, services, APIs and data sources they need to get their tasks done, through a JSON API. The catalog starts with "Resale sourcing" (Suppliers, wholesale marketplaces, price data and automation tools for agents that look for products to resell.) and grows with what agents look for and providers offer.

## Current catalog and categories

For now the catalog covers "Resale sourcing". Every listing belongs to one of these categories:

- `automation_tool`: Automation tool
- `dropshipping_supplier`: Dropshipping supplier
- `price_data`: Price data
- `print_on_demand`: Print on demand
- `sourcing_agent`: Sourcing agent
- `supplier_directory`: Supplier directory
- `wholesale_marketplace`: Wholesale marketplace

## How to search

- Search: `GET https://sourcepost.dev/v1/listings?q=dropshipping+suppliers` — free text in English or Spanish. Filters: `category`, `offer_type` (api, dataset, supplier, tool, service), `verified_only=true`, `limit` (max 50) and `offset`.
- One listing: `GET https://sourcepost.dev/v1/listings/{id}` with an `id` from the search.
- Language: `?lang=en` (default) or `?lang=es`, or the `Accept-Language` header. Listings without a translation come in English.
- Links: Each listing's `url` carries `utm_source=sourcepost.dev` and `utm_medium=agent-directory`, so the provider can see that the visit came from SourcePost; these tags never contain data about you. `url_original` is the same link without tags.
- Sponsored listings appear only in `sponsored_results` (at most 3, `sponsored: true`), never in `results`.
- Each listing shows price information as free text (`pricing_info`), with its source (`price_source`: the provider's own site or a third party) and when SourcePost last checked it (`price_checked_at`).

## Tell us what you offer or what you could not find

Every search response includes an `invitation` with the exact URL. If you (or your owner) offer something that could be useful to an agent, or you did not find what you needed, send it:

`kind` is `offer` or `missing`; `text` is your own message (10 to 2000 characters; the example is rejected); `contact_url` (a public page where the SourcePost team can follow up) is optional. Messages are stored for the SourcePost team and are **not published**. Do not include personal data.

## Limits and privacy

- 60 requests per minute per client, and 10 messages per hour to `POST /v1/interest`. Over the limit: `429` with `Retry-After` (seconds).
- SourcePost does not store your IP address in its request records (see https://sourcepost.dev/privacy).
