# Tempr > Tempr (temprhq.io) lets your team use any AI and keeps control of all of it. The Gateway puts Claude Code on your Claude plan, Codex on ChatGPT, 30 coding plans and any tool or app on your own keys from 34 providers behind one OpenAI-compatible endpoint, with one set of budgets, guardrails, logs and MCP governance. Tempr's own agents run on the same keys and rules: Chat inside Visual Studio, VS Code and JetBrains IDEs, and the CLI in your terminal and CI. A third, Tempr Code (the agent in its own desktop app), is in development. Everything is bring-your-own-key (BYOK): Tempr never fronts provider tokens or takes a cut of them. Key facts, from https://temprhq.io/faq: - What is Tempr? Tempr lets a team use any AI and keep control of all of it. The Gateway is one OpenAI-compatible endpoint in front of your own provider keys and the AI plans you already pay for: Claude Code on a Claude plan, Codex on ChatGPT, 30 coding plans, and any other tool or app. Every request gets the same budgets, guardrails, logs and MCP governance. Tempr's own coding agent runs on the same keys and rules in your IDE (Chat), your terminal and CI (CLI) and, soon, its own desktop app (Code). All of it shares one account and one Portal. You pay your providers directly for tokens; Tempr charges for the product, never for the tokens. - How much does Tempr cost? The Agents plan, for Tempr Chat and the CLI, is Standard $15/mo or Pro $20/mo (Teams from $35/seat/mo), and the Gateway starts free with paid tiers at $49/mo and $249/mo, which include one and five Agents seats (more at $35/seat/mo for a team). Full breakdowns and comparison tables are on the pricing page. - Is there a free plan? The Gateway has a free tier: 10,000 requests a month, no card required. Chat and the CLI don't have a free plan, but every paid Agents plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and the CLI is included with it. - Does Tempr mark up token prices? No. Every request goes out on a key you supplied, at your provider's own rates; Tempr never fronts tokens or takes a cut. What you pay Tempr for is the product wrapped around your key: the IDE extension and CLI tooling, or the Gateway's virtual keys, logs, and analytics. - Which providers are supported? 34 providers you bring an API key for: first-party providers, inference hosts, cloud platforms, and aggregators, all enforced by a server-side allowlist. The Gateway also works with the plans you already pay for: Claude plans through Claude Code, ChatGPT plans through Codex, and 30 coding plans such as Ollama Cloud and the Z.AI GLM Coding Plan. See the full, current list on the providers page; if yours isn't listed yet, tell us and we'll look at adding it. You can also run models on your own OpenAI-compatible server as custom models. - Is my code sent anywhere besides the provider I choose? Your requests are relayed through our servers to the provider or aggregator you configure, always using your own key, never pooled or shared with other customers. When you use agent mode, the multi-turn tool-calling loop runs server-side for reliability (so it can survive a dropped connection and resume mid-turn); tool-call requests and results, which can include snippets of your code, pass through our servers and are retained there to support that run. - How are my provider keys stored? Encrypted at rest, never logged in plain text, and never pooled or shared across customers; requests always go out on the key you supplied, for the account you configured. ## Product pages - [Tempr](https://temprhq.io/): Run Claude Code on your Claude plan, Codex on ChatGPT, and any tool or app on your API keys, with one set of budgets, guardrails and logs over all of it. - [Tempr Chat](https://temprhq.io/chat): Your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or OpenRouter key for chat, inline completion and agent tools in Visual Studio, VS Code and JetBrains. 7-day free trial. - [Tempr CLI](https://temprhq.io/cli): Tempr CLI: the same BYOK agent as in your IDE, in the terminal.
