# ZRouter

> ZRouter is a Super Intelligence Router. It gives applications one OpenAI-compatible endpoint and one virtual model name, scores each request by difficulty, and routes it to the right model and provider: simple prompts to fast, low-cost models and complex reasoning to the strongest ones. Changing or adding providers happens in ZRouter, without changing application code, environment variables, model names, or endpoints. API keys, usage, logs, and prepaid credits live in the same account workspace. Manage the same account through the dashboard, zctl CLI, or an MCP assistant.

ZRouter is for developers building AI features and people managing their AI usage. New accounts start at $0 with no monthly subscription. Prepaid credit purchases start at $5. BYOK provider charges are separate from ZRouter routing fees. Available models and optional features depend on workspace settings.

Account MCP tools manage the authenticated account. Connecting MCP does not change an assistant's inference provider. Prepaid model requests support metered text, embeddings, images, audio, video, and client-executed function tools with inline text results and explicit history. Provider-hosted tools, media inputs to chat, and stored or encrypted conversation state are not supported with account keys. Read the API and integration guides for exact boundaries.
